PGEHR HOSTED THE FIRST 'VINE & DINE' DINNER

The event was hosted by Craig MacGillivray, CEO of Solms-Delta Wine Estate.

Located 15km outside the village of Franschhoek in the heart of the famous Cape Winelands, the estate produces classical wines with a difference.

Guests enjoyed a 5 course meal, carefully paired with an array of the Solms Delta wine collection. The evening started off with a glass of the sparkling 'Cape Jazz' Shiraz and continued with some of Solms white and red wines. At the end of the event there was an opportunity to purchase wine for all the attendees.

Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel Resort has a close relationship with the owners of Solms Delta and therefore it is the sole distributor of their wines in Botswana.

This was the first Vine & Dine event at Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel Resort in 2012. In July the winemarkers from the renowned Rust en Vrede Wines from Stellenbosch and in August the General Manager of Glen Carlou Winery from Paarl will be hosting similar events. Phakalane Golf Estate Hotel Resort is planning to make these wine dinners yearly events in winter time, when wine makers have time to fly over in between harvest seasons.
